How the challenge will work...
Over the 6 weeks we are here to encourage & support you to lose weight and improve your fitness. We want to instill in you positive attitudes around health
& fitness that will ensure you stay on track after the 6 weeks are over (assuming of course that you still need or want to.) As we are a gym, our
focus will be primarily on fitness and how exercise and strength training can have a massive impact on controlling your weight, as well as your overall well being. The
significance of nutrition however can’t be overlooked, as losing weight is largely determined by what you put in your mouth. We are huge advocates for learning how the body works and understanding which foods work best for you, and in which combination, to aid in greater fat loss. You don’t have to count your calories if you’d prefer not to but from our experience it can really help. We will provide you with an information pack containing some helpful general knowledge tips about how to approach your nutrition, which you can download. We do however encourage you to chat to us at any stage if you have questions or concerns about your nutrition.

Terms & Conditions
- The information night is on Monday 16th of October at 7pm and you are required to attend.
- Weekly weigh ins will be Monday nights between 7.15pm and 8pm following the Masterclass. Failure to weigh in on any week will result in participants being disqualified from winning any prizes.
- All participants must be available to weigh in on Monday November 27th (unless prior arrangements have been made with Boat House Gym) at 7pm to determine the winners of the Challenge and team events. We expect all Challengers to be present to show sportsmanship and support, even if not in the running to win
- Weight Loss Class times may change without notice, we will keep you posted though and let you know as soon as possible of changes.
- Masterclasses will be Monday 6.00pm (held at the gym & compulsory), Thursday 6.30am and Saturday 7.00am, (held at a local outdoor location, not compulsory).
- Participants must book online for each masterclass in advance. This is to help staff plan and organise the session.
- Participants are required to commit to the Monday night session every week.
- If you don't wish to have a photo taken, please make yourself scarce when we are taking pics.
- Some training sessions will be outdoors so participants must be willing to get down & dirty and sometimes wet.
- Participants must weigh in wearing shorts or pants, a t-shirt/singlet & no shoes.
- Winner of the challenge will be the person who has lost the most weight as a percentage of their overall starting weight.
- Winners will be announced on the Website & Facebook page and of course on the final night of the challenge.
- Any person found to be cheating will be disqualified from the challenge . No refunds will be given.
- Our trial memberships are not available to participants at the conclusion of the challenge, however our regular memberships are.
- Once the Challenge starts, no refunds will be given.
- We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms & Conditions at any time. You should check these Terms & Conditions periodically for changes. By using this Website after we post any changes to these Terms & Conditions, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them.
- You expressly understand and agree that by signing up for this challenge that The Boat House Gym or its staff shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential exemplary or punitive damages, or any other damages whatsoever arising out of, or resulting from undertaking & participating in the Weight Loss Challenge.
- You acknowledge that, by undertaking the Weight Loss Challenge, you are doing so voluntarily and you are aware that there may be dangers in participating. You are aware that undertaking this challenge may result in serious personal injury, permanent disability or death and/or property loss and damage.
